This Cookie Policy explains how Digital Communique uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies when you visit vehm.studio or use VEHM.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your browser or device. They can last only for a browser session or remain until a set expiry date. Local storage is a related browser feature that stores information on your device without using a traditional cookie. Pixels, scripts, and pseudonymous identifiers can perform similar functions.
In this policy, “cookies” includes these related technologies where appropriate. For more information about our handling of personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
2. How VEHM uses these technologies
VEHM uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you signed in and protect account sessions.
- Support security, password authentication, and administrative access.
- Remember a referral code long enough to apply an eligible invite.
- Prevent automated abuse and fraudulent contact-form submissions.
- Understand page visits and improve the performance and usability of VEHM.
- Complete checkout and subscription-management flows through Stripe.
3. Strictly necessary cookies and storage
Authentication and security
Auth.js may set session, callback, and anti-forgery cookies with names such as authjs.* or __Secure-authjs.*. These keep you signed in, return you to the correct page, and protect authentication requests. Session duration depends on the authentication configuration and whether you sign out or clear browser data.
The private administrator area uses wa_admin_session, a secure session cookie designed to expire after eight hours.
Referral attribution
When you open an eligible invitation link, VEHM stores the referral code in vehm_ref. The cookie is designed to expire after seven days. The same referral code may also be kept in local storage so it survives navigation during registration. It is removed when the referral is attached or when you clear site data.
Blocking necessary cookies may prevent login, referral attribution, account security, or other requested features from working correctly.
4. Analytics technologies
PostHog
When analytics is enabled, VEHM uses PostHog to understand how people navigate and use the Service. PostHog may use cookies and local storage, including entries beginning with ph_, to assign a pseudonymous browser identifier and associate events within or across visits.
Analytics events may include the page URL, referring page, timestamps, browser and device details, approximate location derived from IP address, page views, page exits, and interactions with product features. We use this information to diagnose issues, understand feature adoption, and improve VEHM—not to serve third-party advertising.
Analytics retention and exact storage duration depend on our PostHog configuration and provider settings. Clearing browser site data resets locally stored identifiers, although previously collected events may remain in aggregated or provider-held records for the applicable retention period.
5. Third-party cookies and technologies
Cloudflare Turnstile
The contact form may use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate users from automated abuse. Cloudflare may process IP address, browser characteristics, challenge results, and cookies or similar signals needed to provide the verification.
Stripe
When you proceed to Stripe Checkout or the Stripe customer portal, Stripe may set cookies on its own domains for payment processing, fraud prevention, security, and session continuity. Stripe controls those technologies under its own policies.
Google authentication
If Google sign-in is enabled and you choose to use it, Google may use cookies and related technologies to authenticate you and secure the sign-in flow. Google controls those technologies under its own policies.
6. Your cookie choices
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and site data. You can usually find these controls under “Privacy”, “Cookies”, or “Site data” in your browser settings. You can also use private-browsing modes or browser extensions that limit tracking.
If you block all cookies, parts of VEHM—including login and checkout—may not work. Deleting cookies can sign you out and remove referral attribution or preferences. Browser controls may not delete information already sent to a provider.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this policy when we add, remove, or change technologies. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service.
